Solar Sam recently installed an 18.3-kilowatt residential photo-voltaic solar system in Blue Springs, Missouri.
We build each system to best suit the needs of the location and property owner. In this case, 35 solar panels (365 watts each, Mission™ brand) were mounted on the ground. This is known as a “ground-mounted” system.
At an 85% offset, these panels should generate 13 kilowatts of electricity. This is enough green energy to power the single-family home!
Ground-mounted solar panel systems are installed on the ground rather than on the roof of your house. Since they’re not on an exposed roof, the panels should be located in a sunny spot on your property. Also, ground-mounted panels are placed on a frame, so they can sit anywhere from a few inches to a few feet off the ground.
